I did a lot of research before I purchased and came up with these items. I prefer an Onkyo A/V Receiver in the 800 series. The best subwoofer for the money is a SVS Subwoofer. Get one of the powered cylinder models. Polk Audio makes great speakers which are small for hanging on your wall. Sony makes a good DVD player but take your pick. Panasonic's 50" HD Plasma topped it all off very nicely. Whether I'm listening to KISS or watching The Matrix, my system always sounds thunderous with no problems.

BIC u . s . a . of america or Dayton Audio are audio device that come to concepts for top fee speaker performance. Pioneer is a reported selection for the severe fee receiver performance. that is the course i'd take supply your circumstances with what you've already got at your disposal. chuffed listening!

I'd prolly go with Bose.
And I'd keep it as a system, since it was designed to go together.
