I want to buy a projector w/ an Xbox 360 I want to buy for this Christmas. I want to get all I can out of the 360, therefore I want a projector that can handle 1080i resolution. I ran accross a few good projectors, but when I look at the specs it says this:
Broadcast Format Displayed: 768p
Broadcast Format Supported: 1080i (HDTV),
480i (SDTV),
480p (EDTV),
720p (HDTV)
Does that mean that the projector can receive 1080i resolution, but it can't handle displaying it?
Any help would be much appreciated

That is correct. It will convert 1080i to 768p for display, and you will not get full 1080i resolution, For game playing, this is not an optimum situation, although it's not bad for watching TV. Look for a 1080p projector.
