I would add either one large powered subwoofer or two smaller
high-performance powered subwoofers...

Look to Hsu Research, SVS, Dayton Titanic, or Definitive Technology for some of the best brands to consider.

Go with the Velodyne 10" or 12". They are relatively cheap at $299 and if you wanted two channel bass you could get one for each side of your tv. I have a single 10' and it shake my 14X16 room plenty. Hard crisp bass both on music and home theater.

The best you can have for the price it's at. Send them an emaill with all your questions and they WILL answer you within a reasonable amount of time. I'll never forget, I sent them an email on Labor Day and I got a response back in less than an hour.
