Cell Phones & Plans - August 2006

i want to get a razr, but there is a few different kinds. there is the v3(regular razr), then there is the v3i(razr with itunes), or there is the v3x(2 MP camera upgraded with flash, mp3 player, and more memory). i was thinking about the v3x, but the only thing is that its a little thicker. which one do you recommend? i have cingular.

When you buy a new cellphone (I'm with T-mobile) do you have to buy one with a SIM card included? Or can you just buy the phone without it on their website with the webprice?

I am going to buy a palm treo 650 most likely off craigslist. I will be putting my cingular sim card from my motorola v551 and am told by a guy at the cingular shop it should work, no activation nor contract fees.

Will any palm treo accept the cingular sim without issue? I hear that you need to unlock some if they are verizon or what not.

also, does the phone have crashes like I hear about, even if I don't install any 3rd party apps? Is the phone a good phone? what kind of setups do you guys have (added memory, etc.)

Whih is really better. Which is really better? Verizon or Cingular. Many people think cingular has the fewest dropped calls but do they? Many people think telephia out of san francisco tested them for the fewest dropped calls. But they didn't. Cingular advertises fewest dropped calls, verizon advertises americas most reliable wireless network. Exactly the same meaning!

I just got a cell phone from Cingular in today that I ordered. I am charging it as I type this, lol and I'm curious about the activation... After charging it, it mentions after 2 hours if it isn't active, to call... How do I know if it's activated or not? Will I receive a message? Ugh *mumbles*

Oh and I'm not sure if this would matter.. but I am on a monthly plan as well.

I bought a razr on ebay, its an unlocked black razr. The screen is really hard to see. It has some sort of white powder substance under the screen. Would Motorola fix this if i purchased the phone on ebay? any ideas on how to get this fixed,cleaned, or replaced?

My Sprint phone's audio receiver has stopped working. In other words, I can hear people talking, but they can't hear me. This presents a problem, as I can't have a conversation on my phone with anyone haha... Has anybody had this problem before? It's an old phone, as it used to be somebody else's before it was mine.... But I'm wondering if it's fixable or if I'm going to have to buy a new phone. I don't really have a lot of money to do that right now, but I need a phone.
