Why do Land Line Phones have a dial tone while the Mobile phones do not have a dial tone ?

i would like to ask , if there is any system can change the mobile ring tone to silent mode or vibirating mode automaticaly , its mean witout press the bottom of silent mode in the mobile system

my nokia 6600 have unique problem? when i press the menu button immediatley after unlocking the phone or restarting the phone the menu button doesnt work all other button works but not the menu so i have to restart the phone again

i dropped it in the pool. it was only under water 4 like 5 seconds, if even. when i turn it on ith shows the loading sign, and it blinks on and off. I NEED THIS PHONE TO WORK!! if u have any ideas or things that worked for u plz help me. thx for all of ur help.

So i used to be able to put anything basicaly on my MOtorola v330, but then it stopped working, so i got the new drivers and updated software so it would work again. And now it works just fine, except for one thing, i can't put games onto my phopne now, i used to but now i can't. I can put ringontes, pictures, and videos on it, but not games. Whenever i try to do file transfer it says "error copying file" so that doesn't work now. Then i went onto the internet to see if i could see what the problem was, everyone has the same problem except mines different. The people who know how to do it say to drag the files into "OBEX Object Push" in my bluetooth places, but i don't have that, i only have "OBEX File Transfer". So how do i get games on it? Please help!!! Thanks!!
