T-Mobile, if its available out there. A representative told me that you can take it out of the country without roaming since its GSM capable.

Verizon Wireless offers North American calling plans for US$20/mo more than the comparable America's Choice plans, where you don't incur roaming charges when you make a call in either Canada or Mexico.

Otherwise you get charged 69c/min. That happened to me a few weeks ago when I burned a few minutes in the terminal at Vancouver's airport. I don't do it often, so it's just lesson learned.

Interesting to note that making a call to Canada while in VZW's network is just regular airtime.

I've used my Cingular mobile phone service successfully in Mexico, but not Canada. There were no extra charges either. My bill only showed that I had used my usual minutes.

Check their website. Maybe it has the info?
