I bought a razr on ebay, its an unlocked black razr. The screen is really hard to see. It has some sort of white powder substance under the screen. Would Motorola fix this if i purchased the phone on ebay? any ideas on how to get this fixed, cleaned, or replaced?

If you have Tmobile and have insurance on your phone then the insurance would cover the phone no matter where you bought it,...you didn't mention who your provider is..Cingular actually owns the rights to the Black Razr.. if you don't have T-Mobile then I would contact your provider and see if they can help you...By the way...the white powder substance on the screen is a known issue with that phone... Good Luck

If the seller did not tell you about this in the auction listing then you should contact him and ebay to tell them of the problem. If it was listed in the auction, you bought yourself a headache. You can contact motorola. They may repair or replace it, but it may cost you more than you paid for the phone.

No all those are wear and tear issues, they won't cover it. The white substance is probable dust and lint from being in side a pocket. The warrenty is 1 year from the manufactuer and that is from the date of orginal purchase, which you typically need the recipt of for warrenty type issues

I'm with Cingular and I would take my phone in and get insurance (but you have to wait a month for the insuance to go into effect with sucks cause you wont have a phone , maybe use a old one or something) and then you can get a totally new one and not have to worry about just getting one fixed.

i like my Razr. yet mine has an excellent sort of dots (sand?) caught under the video show, so it somewhat is problematic to work out . the telephone got here that way, yet i did no longer have a rebate. with a bit of luck, that's a uncommon case. in spite of this one con, it has many greater execs. i could propose you to get it.

I know this do not drop it or it will break, Take it to your cellular provider they should be able to clean it for you just walk in there like you got the from them. Don't come out and say it just don't say you got it from ebay most of the time they won't even check.

Razor phones suck anyway. I've had 2 in 3 months. The first one just went haywire so I sent it back and they sent me what looked like a reconditioned one which lasted 1 month. I won't be getting a third one!

You might need to take it to a cell store tech support desk to have it cleaned.

It might cost some money, though.

But trying to go through Motorola will be a joke.

Good luck!
