I'm just getting into digital photography and I'm thinking about getting a pentax k100d or k110d, or possibly even a *ist DL. What is the difference between the 100 and 110? Which one is the higher end camera? From what I understand the *ist DL is the lowest end digital SLR they sell, but I'm unclear on which one is in the middle and which on is on top.

Did anyone ever manage to appear on one of those huge school photos twice?
You know, the old story of standing at one end of those panoramic school photos, waiting till the picture had started to be taken then running to the other end of the line up and appearing twice?

I am interested in buying a Canon Powershot A540 or A700 particularly because they take AA batteries. The official specifications note the they can use standard alkaline and NiMH batteries but I am particularly interested in using disposable lithium batteries (not rechargable ones).

Will these models work with AA disposable lithiums without damaging the units?

I plan to overcharge the halogen bulb constantly at about 20% which is roughly 14.4 or even 14.8 V. I am aware of shorter life...
But I am wondering if the bulb will take the start?

He's pretty nimble, but why trouble him with microscopic buttons? Also dioptre adjustment would be nice. The reason I'm posting here is that online reviews/comparisons give no quarter for older folks.

I understand that if you want to develop a digital cam pic and have it print out to 6x4", that the dimension has to be at least 1800x1200... Currently my camera takes pics at 2400x1900, which is very large, and the file size for each pic is about 2.3megs... In ACDSee i resized it to 2300x1700, and the file size dropped all the way to 316KB.. That's a dramatic drop from 2.3megs.. and i only resized it a little.... do you think the quality of the pic is much lessened because of this? I cant tell on my screen, but will i tell when i develop the pics?
