Get an inverter and plug it into your car's cigarrette lighter (12VDC outlet). An inverter takes the DC voltage from your car's electrical system and converts it to 120 volts AC just like in a wall socket. You then plug your laptop into the inverter just like you would plug it into a wall outlet.

For a laptop, get at least a 120 Watt unit. Probably cost you about $35 at Wal-Mart or similar. The higher the wattage you buy, the bigger the devices are that you can plug into it. The camera will draw less power (aka Watts) than the laptop, so you should size your inverter for whatever device will need more power. If you intend to run both devices at the same time from the inverter, then get a 200-250 Watt unit.

If you're really in the bush, you'll have to pack a (foldable) solar panel.
This can be a real pain for a laptop however. A 10W panel takes 5 hours just to charge a camera battery.

The solar powered ones are the best bet but they do take a long time. Try to take an extra battery or tweo with you so you can shoot while charging. Easiest solution... get a real camera and use film. :-)
