what can i do with it? other than take pictures?

You could sell it, but you might not get much for it. It would be better to donate it to a student who's interested in photography, provided it works. If it doesn't work, it'll still make a fun toy for a young child: a real camera!
The best thing is probably just to use it and have fun taking photos, after all, that's what it was made for!

Take pictures is about the only thing to do with a camera, it is also a good paper weight, or you can also sell it on Ebay.

If you don't want it and aren't worried about where your next dollar will come from, give it to a young person who's interested in photography. If you don't know one, ask at your local junior high school, high school or give the Salvation Army a call. I'm sure there's a boy or girl who would love your camera, use it and learn a lot from it.

Want to make some money from it?? Sell it on ebay, buy a digital camera to get with digital age. That is what I did with mine. Or you can take it to pawn shop, but won't get that much money that way.

If it's an SLR camera and you still have the old lenses, they will probably work with the same brand of camera, digital SLR. Check with the manufacturer.

im thinking about donating or selling mine. camera companies suck. they should have a program to buy-back/credit-toward-new cameras from people. or at least a recycling program like some computer companies.

picasa is a Google's photo software. It's what should've come with your camera.
It can Edit , organise and Share you picture and small video clips.
It's very easy to use and is free, just like Google

Certain stores (like us www.doddcamera.com) deal in used equipment for students and such. Check your local stores (more the specialty stores not wal-mart, etc. and see if they deal in used.
