Canon S3IS. Looks better than the S2IS.

Might as well throw the Sony H5 in the mix.
But the Canon S3IS and Panny FZ7 (or FZ30) are really excellent big-zoom cameras. you couldn't go wrong with either.

And Fuji has the S9000 rather than the 5200. Better high ISO than the others, but no image stabilization.

I'd say neither. Before you decide consider the Sony Cybershot DSC-P200. It's a phenominal camera.
