I'm just getting into digital photography and I'm thinking about getting a pentax k100d or k110d, or possibly even a *ist DL. What is the difference between the 100 and 110? Which one is the higher end camera? From what I understand the *ist DL is the lowest end digital SLR they sell, but I'm unclear on which one is in the middle and which on is on top.

OK current Pentax DSL's in sequence...

*ist DL (soon to be replaced by K110D by end of year)
K110D (more focus points, etc than DL same price point)
K100D (a K110D with Shake Reduction)
a yet unnamed Semi-Pro body (everyone in the know assuming name as K10D - 10 meg, SR - due out Octoberish)
A yet unamed High end Semi-Pro/Pro body combined Samsung electronics/Pentax Know how - possible name K1D) due out early next year (PMA?)

Th K100 has built-in vibration reduction. It's the same as the K110 in all other respects. And you're right, they both beat the *ist DL.
