I have a system that everytime u open micro soft word a document opens with it. u can manualy delete but when u reopen a blank document it reopens.

I tried to uninstall office and reinstall it. I have tried to do a restore thru windows. The document has been removed from the system but still opens.

Can someone help me stop this.

I am in desperate need of Microsoft Office 2003 I prefer the Professional version but it doesn't have to be. Does anyone know where I can find a legal download of this? Or where I can purchase this fairly cheap. I know Microsoft is not cheap and I have looked on ebay, amazon. I need this asap so any suggestions will be great as long as they are legal.

I have a Vista preloaded laptop. I want to install XP over Vista. I was told to boot from CD and it would give me an option to reformat and install XP...I don't know how to boot from CD. I can't find the option. Help? I've tried restarting and pressing F1 and I still can't find it.

I have an HP Laptop that is just under a year old. My IE7 will not access webpages, even though I have a good connection. I have dialup and am using the Netscape 8 that came installed on the laptop. Is there a setting I can check or should I download IE7 again?

Runs extremely slow!!! Takes up to 5 min to open/close window. Also get lots of pop-up from like "movie tickets" "great jobs" "online singles" "win $5,000 a week for life", LOTS from WinAntiVirus & Win Int Exp "if comp running slower than normal, download WinAntiVirus Pro FREE" Also control, alt, delete woun't work. People have gave me some suggestions, but some are too complicated to follow?! (for me!) I've tried using foxfire instead of Windows IE, I tried system restore, I tried running Cox (cable provider) antivirus scans, ad-adware personal scans, etc..... What can I do to make it run like it used to & stop all these pop-up windows that take forever to close!!! If you suggest downloading a program, let me know if it's safe to use w/ ad-adware personal & my cox cable internet security suite (free antivirus program from cable/internet provider)

I have IE6 now and have tried IE7 on anther computer and firefox also, both are ok but lacking in some things what I was wondering which is the fastest and the best and easy and simple,, just for browsing the net with nothing fancy just needing the speed,, i think,, but if anyone knows of a good browser other than the ones I have listed that work well with xp sp2 and has a bit of speed,, would surley help me out a lot thanks fo all your answers

After i put XP on my computer i downloaded a few other programs and windows cant or wont open them.I went from Windows 2000 to XP and it has pretty much nothing on it.So far,for critical programs, i downloaded flash player WinRAR and java.I also put norton on here but i cant even open it because i dont have the initial software that i need.Any other computer i've had didnt have this problem because they had everything i needed in them.So anyways,what are the basic but essential programs/software that i'm gonna to get this thing running right?Thanks for the help.

i dont own a mac but plan on buying one, i am no way a genius on this stuff so please dont criticize me or beign dumb. I am not saying Mac is better then PC or visa versa. People who use windows always say that they are better then Macs because more things are made for them then a Mac. But with bootcamp can't you run XP and Vista giving you the option to use bot OSs and making it so that the Mac can have the best of both worlds. People who doubt the Mac always bring up that not as many things will run on the Mac but i thought bootcamp would change this. I may just be off and have no clue what i am talking about but i thought bootcamp would make it so more programs could be used on the mac.

I have an older computer with internet explorer 5.5 on it... I want to connect this computer to the internet via wireless but when I try to install my wireless card software it says I need IE 6 or + to install it.... Ive tried putting the set up exe file on a disc and doing that... but It messes up because it says it needs to connect to the internet to download. Is there anyway of being able to download IE WITHOUT internet on a computer... WIRELESS is the ONLY way I can connect... no ethernet and phone jack wont work.... PLEASE HELP!

Im trying to download a Linux distribution but i cant find out what architecture i need to download it for, im using a Pentium 3 processor, for example there is IX86 , amd64, Ia64 alpha.
