You have no chance of doing that,,,, where you going to put the virtual memory needed by windows?

windows xp plus service pack 2 = 2.5 + virtual memory= 10% of the disk drive 3,0 gig minimum

40 GB isn't adequate. i take advantage of abode windows XP (sp3) and that i've got an 80 GB stressfulcontinual. the whole length of my c: power is 14.5 GB. Now, I even have basically 4.35 GB loose area in my c: power. I basically installation my motherboard drivers (integrated video driving force, HD audio driving force) and a few necessary application like MS place of work, Adobe Photoshop, AutoCAD, Kaspersky internet protection etc. abode windows XP desires basically 8GB loose area. yet, i think of a stressfulcontinual with minimum a hundred and twenty GB loose area is adequate for abode windows XP.

You're serious?

XP take a minimum of 3-4 gigs.

Unlikely you could do this even if there were enough space as it would be the same as trying to install it on a external hard drive.

I recommend finding a bigger flashdrive. Biggest flashdrive I know of is about 5-10 GB. I'd get one of those if you're serious about this.
