all other things thereby work at a very slow rate. my pc seems to be hung up at times coz 90% CPU is used by 'system' named process then. First my pc works so slow coz of this and then I am afraid the processor will be harmed as most of the time CPU utilization is 100%. can someone pls tell me the reason for this and the solution ???

I don't have a welcome screen?!!?

when I log out, it locks the computer, then I have to type the pass, then I can type in another account.

I have gone to change the way user log on, but it still hasn't given me a welcome screen.

I have Windows XP and am trying to start in Safe Mode. I need to do a full Ad Aware, Spybot and AVG scan in safe mode and cannot get there. I tap on F8 when the computer is booting up and choose start in safe mode with networking. Then after I hit enter, the computer starts normally as though I never went through the F8 process. I am at my normal desktop screen that I get should I start up my computer normally. Any ideas?

every time i try defragging my comp it says chkdsk is scheduled but i didnt set that up how do i get rid of that and defrag any help would be great

I have lots of AVI file donwloaded from the Internet. I always have this problem of audio delay. I already downloaded the latest codecs for my WMP but still it didn't help.
