My friend owns a 3 yr old HP, the system went down and is not responding to recovery disks. She is wondering if buying and installing Windows XP will be enough, or if she needs to buy device drivers ( do they come included in Windows XP?). Please give advice!

I made this mix, but at the end of making the mix i forgot to stop the recording i need to delete the part that started playing after the mix ..... Can someone please help me .... what software can i download ?

I want to make a back-up disc for my windows installation. I no longer have a Windows XP disc, but I want to make a back-up disc should something ever go wrong that I need to run a recovery for.

Anyone have any idea if I can do this?

(It was a clean install using an XP disc, no OEM software)

im lookin for a software besides photoshop that i have a lot of options of backgrounds, clip art, etc. The background options has to have like a trading card theme on it. If anyone know what the name of the software they use at most malls (like the photo keychains and stuff like that) i would appreciate it. Any software ideas would be great also.

I know how to edit and do everything, but I have some clips that I want to make into a movie, but they are Quicktime clips and not on a tape (on a memory card).On the computer they come up (when you click on them) as a separate little screen. Is there a way to get those clips onto imovie?

here's the deal - my brother had this computer and used the trial version of a program for 30 days. now i want to use the same version, to try it out, but it keeps saying that the trial version has expired. how do i get this info off my computer? how does it recognize me?

i have tried with "regedit" from "run"..
and i have't found any values,strings,entries..nothing
so where are those all in my windows??
they must be somewhere..
otherwise windows can't recognize those after uninstall...as trial expired..

I am trying to get Windows NT 4.0 to automatically restart at a scheduled time. I have been able to use program scheduler to get shutdown.exe to run in windows XP, but NT does not use shutdown.exe to shutdown. I am looking for something FREE. No demos!

I have Excel 2003 and there's a report that i need to pull numbers from and for some unknown reason the numbers are negative when they shouldn't be, but I can't do anything about that, the report is generated that way. BUT the negative numbers are messing up the chart I want to make. Is there a way that I can make the numbers be absolute value or make the numbers not appear to be negative without manually having to change them in the report?

I'm trying to remove directories with a 2 part name. Ex. I use RD /s as the command which i know works. But i forgot what the command is to use for a 2 part directory name. Ex. that i tried: RD /s Sportsbook.com Lite ....It then said couldnt find directory file. Please Help! Thank You.

Hi! A couple days ago I noticed that when i play any game my game window is minimizing by it like when you do alt-tab.This is very annoying and although I tried a sweep with my antivirus nothing was found and I do not know what can be the cause.
This happens several times during a game and is very annoying especially when playing on multiplayer as when my game is minimized I waste a couple of seconds to get it right back the way it was.Any help would be apreaciated. Thx in advance
