I have a couple questions about this situation at work. My predecessor left a whole bunch of data on Excel spreadsheets that now need to be merged. The categories of data are identical, but they are on seperate pages. My questions:

1. They used the "!" command to pull names from the first page to the suceeding pages. If I add a column or row, do I have to do this on all pages?

2. If I sort the data on one page, will all the pages be sorted?

3. Would it be easier to cut and paste the data into a new spreadsheet? There are around 700 records I need and each record has around 40 columns, so I'm thinking is it less work to merge the old spreadsheets or just bite the bullet and redo the entire thing?

i was defragmenting hard disk's c partition which has windows xp service pack 2 on it. electricity went off and computer abruptly got turned off. on rebooting next time and on running chkdsk about 3.25 MB of lost fragments was found in 7 objects. i somewhat repaired my windows xp installation by first running system file checker, followed by WinXP manager's feature of 'repair components', followed by re-installation of .net framework 3.0. now everything is fine except that windows media player 6.4 (mplayer2.exe) does not work. is there any way by which i can repair this program without having to re-install windows or do any other drastic thing?

eg message from local computer to user critical error message -registry damaged and corrupted to cure go www,registrycleanup.com have already bought adware plus error killer and downloaded pop up killer to cure problem but still messenger service pop ups keep coming do i have to give in and buy the registry cleaner??

Hi, i don't want to change the style of windows at all. I want to keep it looking as it does when you install Win XP but i want a colour other than blue, olive or silver.

I dont really want a totally new skin, with new types of menu bars and what not. Just basic Win XP looks.

Any ideas?

My boss is trying to create something that that will review the values in two preceding columns (Column A = Call Center and Column B = Client) against a table on another sheet, and return a cost center from the same table being referenced in Column C. I went to Insert, clicked add sound from file, chose my song, the little speaker icon appeared, and I right clicked and clicked loop until stopped. But when I start the slideshow, the song will start only after I click on the speaker icon, and then play until I click to bring up the title, then stop. How do I make the song play straight through without any interruptions? Thank you for your answer.
