someone made a dvd with music and basically a simple slideshow of several hundred pictures. can i rip the pictures out of the vob file and if so what program?

Use Nero Vision to extract the Pictures or you can take snapshots of the video. You can also get a video converter. Convert .VOB to .WMV then use Windows Movie Maker, which is free.

You need to convert your .bob file to .avi file first and open that avi file in flash as image sequence ,then you need to extract the sound file inside flash with your movie separate on different channels within flash.then remove the pics that you dont want then compile your movie again to .avi format .once is in .avi format you can use software to convert that .avi file to .bob file and put it back in the dvd. i do use DVD FACTORY AND DVD WORKSHOP for that last step. ... i almost forgot ,you can use .AVI EDITOR to get the sound separate from your .avi file
