I work for a company that has about 50 employees. The IT guys recently blocked our ability to stream music from on-line sources. Their reason for doing so is because they say it slows down the connection. We have a T1 connection (from what I understand it's like the fastest) and I would guess that if every employee was streaming music in from their favorite source no one would notice a difference. I know there is a way around this... Can anyone offer me up any advise please.

well my laptop is a dell latitude D810 notebook and my family and i got the at&t dsl thing well to install their is a tutorial on the intallation cd well when i hook up the modem it says modem not found retry and help help just tells you how to set it up and i do EXACTLY how its done. well i need help i dont know if its the ethernet or dsl cable or something but i need help because at&t has already started billing us

I am trying to find a site like CompTIA that will tell me the prices for Cisco exams like it does with CompTIA. I know that I have to register online with Pearson VUE but I cant find a site that will tell me what the prices are for each cisco exam. Nor a site that will let me look up a testing site for the certifications that i am going for. i have a list from Pearson VUE for my A+ certification that gives me test center locations but i need a list for cisco test centers. Also i was thinking about taking the cisco voice over IP exam. i have some networking skills and worked with VOIP in the army. i just dont know what i should go for first with the cisco certs. i know im doing A+ first as a starting point but i want to get into Cisco. Help me please and thank you

I am driving myself crazy and to keep a really long story short.. here are the basics... I am trying to locate someone that I have not heard from in years. Most of the people I know haven't spoken to this person in atleast a year. His ex-step brother is on life support and will be taken off tomorrow so I need to reach him pretty bad.

He is supposedly in the St. Louis Illinois area or maybe Houston.. and was in the Austin area about 2 years ago. No myspace page, nothing. I have tried every look up that I can and no luck. He is approximately 28 or 29. His father lives in either Baytown or Texas City area. His name is Douglas Joe Walker but he goes by DJ. He is originally from the Baytown TX area. He went to several schools here and was raised here. He is not on classmates.com either.... any luck on other ways I could find him? I am thinking I am kind of sh*t out of luck here but we would like him to be able to say goodbye.

I've had so much trouble with the Internet that at times I feel like giving it up altogether. It's causing nothing but tears, frustration, anger at the people who are hacking into my computer.
I've only just had it rebooted and now it's started again!
I've got stronger protection on my computer, but still they get in!
My computer is my 'eye to the world' as because of health reasons I stay home. I used to love the computer, now since this has been happening it has really spoilt it. We only go on the Internet occassionally. I used to really enjoy Forwards, and Messengers and Fun Trivia to name a few. Now they have gone, to make me feel safer. I had all our email addresses tested and it wasn't coming from us.
I changed our name and company for our joint address, and now somehow they have one of my own email addresses and while doing emails they are breaking in and ads come through, then I lose the email altogether which I am working on. Can anything be done?

Because i used a proxy site to Do the registration on the main site, but i had to go into my emails to send a verification email reply which I couldn't use the proxy site in my yahoo mail there, so once i send the reply through my regular yahoo email, because I can’t use the proxy site there, does it get my real IP address or what? Or does it still hide my real Address?

Because I think once you reply with your normal IP Address they get your real IP address, not the one supplied by a proxy server.

We've run it a few different times and it always stops at:

we want to find the zip and delete it, but can't find it anywhere!! Even did the search for it. Nothing. :( Anyone have an idea where it could be or how I could find it? or what it could be too? my username is Tasha - so I'm assuming it's on my side of the computer.

I just watched a quite a few different videos last night. I never finished them, and I was going to watch em today and I get this message:

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.

Any ideas? Some movies still work but quite a few don't. All of them are .avi. I've never had a problem before. I have the latest windows media player and the latest klie pack of codecs. I tried opening the movies in quicktime...no luck. I tried with divx player and it says its not a video track or something...I'm very puzzled. Has anyone ever had a similar problem. Restart didn't work, installed the latest codecs. Why would this stop working all of a sudden? I didn't touch my computer since last night and now the videos don't work.

I needed to clear up some space and I had run out of cd's so I formatted an old 3 1/2 floppy and copied word docs and wps. on to the floppy.
Now I'm trying to open the documents I can see them but I get this error box:

X The disk in drive A: is not formatted properly. Please check the disk, and reformat if necessary.

*cancel******** try again ******* Continue

Is the info on the floppy lost to me or is there someway to recover it ?

When I boot up, the screen displays a magnified view with fuzzy edges on all displayed.
In Control Panel I change the 'settings' from the default of 640x480 to 1024x768 and it stays for the duration of current use but defaults when a restart or reboot is called for.
Any help gratefully accepted.

I ordered a Dell Inspiron 6400 on Monday 6th August. Its now Sunday 12th August. I was given a delivery date of the 17th of August.

Dell's order status page still says its in 'Pre Production'.

Giving that delivery normally takes 4 days, what is the chance that my Laptop will be delivered on the 17th?

and your email is jsmith@hotmail.com and you decide to get an email address with, say AOL,then could you have the email address jsmith@aol.com-or is it the case that once a certain form is used on one provider it's no longer available on another provider,even though the final part of the address is different?
BTW,I'm not talking about transferring your email from one address to the other,but rather having both email addresses.

i use maxwell dvd+rw 120min 4.7GB but lately when i try to burn a movie it says there is insufficiant disk space? there is only 60mins on it. i use cyberlink to burn with and its always been fine. all the disksare completly blank. i just dont get it....
