what is pspimage?

My b/f just scanned some pics for me and emailed them, but they showed up as pspimage? what is this? can I convert it to something I can open?

It is a format conected with your scanner, try rescanning and "saving as" .jpg, or go into almost any picture manipulation prog and load them and "save as" .jpg.
