We've run it a few different times and it always stops at:

c:/documentsandsettings/ta... / pote. zip-7d5cfd01-45bb68f5.zip

we want to find the zip and delete it, but can't find it anywhere!! Even did the search for it. Nothing. :( Anyone have an idea where it could be or how I could find it? or what it could be too? my username is Tasha - so I'm assuming it's on my side of the computer.

Items in your "Document and Settings" folder are usually hidden by Windows to prevent users from accidentally deleting them. Pderover gave accurate instructions on how to view these folders. Once you have followed the instructions, you should be able to see the files under C:/Documents and Settings/ .

I should point out that .zip files can take a long time to scan. How long did you wait? I experienced a similar problem with Antivir antivirus program. There is a good chance the .zip file is saved with your temporary folder or temporary internet folder. To delete these files use Disk Cleanup, go to Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup. Launch the program and select temporary files and temporary download files. Delete all obsolete files found.

These are probably the files used by System Restore (at one time you had a virus/spyware that the AV is now detecting)

You can't see the files because you have them hidden. In Windows Explorer, click Tools --> Folder Options
Click View Tab
Enable viewing hidden and system files

In the root of your C: drive. at the top, go to 'tools' -> 'folder options' -> 'view' -> select 'show hidden files and folders'.

Try to manually browse to the folder containing the zip file and delete it.

good luck
