AT&T DSL was a breeze to set up, I had it going in minutes. There's only a cable from the phone outlet to the modem (and a noise filter), a cable from the modem to the computer and a power cable. Check your connections. Are any lights lit on the modem? Did you use the AT&T Self Support Tool? It is in Start, Programs.

If all that fails, go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, uninstall it, reboot (restart your computer) then reinstall it from the CD, being careful how you answer any choices it gives you during install

From what you said you have connected it to Ethernet. What have you hooked the modem up to? There is suppose to be a low band pass filter to keep out the phone line info which the modem will see as noise. If you have installed everything correctly and it is not working contact AT&T for phone support. It does not cost extra until they come out to your house. They will be able to see if the modem is functioning from their end and walk you through any other problems that are not hardware.

Personally, I would not use any of the software that came with the modem -- use the Ethernet inteface instead of the USB one. Also, if you plan on sharing the Internet amongst multiple computers, buy a cheap router.
