One of my computers has a similar problem. On mine, it is due to a lack of memory. You list that you have 1gb of memory, which should be more than sufficient. However, you should check that the memory is working properly and seated correctly. If you had some RAM go south on you, that may be causing the problem.

You might want to adjust your power settings so that not everything turns off during hibernation. You can get here from the display settings or your control panel.
