I have a toshiba infinia 7130 and it is like 5 7 yrs old. But it worked great. However, I was in the middle of a game and it crashed. I re-started the computer and received the following screen:

We apologize but windows did not start successfully. It give 4 options:

Safe mode
Safe mode with networking
Safe mode with command prompt
-and-
Start windows normally

I hit start windows normally and it continued, but a quick blue screen with error messages flashed, and it rebooted. It continues to do the same thing. It won't do safe mode. I unpluged everything, put another hard drive in, and went into CMOS setup. (hitting delete to enter setup key when starting computer)

I don't know what is happening? Anyone have an idea? Thanks.

i've just recovered my computer to factory settings and now it won't let me install internet 7. i am currently running on service pack 1 but i've used internet 7 on this computer before so i know it has the potential to be compatible. does anyone know what i need to do?

On every web page, if I start to type say, an 'A', everything he had typed that started with an 'A' would show up. It is quite annoying. If someone could help me I would be very appreciated. Thank you very much!

I have a 40GB monthly download limit because of my ISP.
This month I have downloaded loads of stuff but I' m not quite sure how much I've have used. Is there any way for me to check how much I have used? I know there are some meters out there but they only start counting from the install date onwards, and if it catches the point of the month where the limit resets back to 40 the meter doesnt reset until it finishes the 30 day cycle and i dont know when the ISP resets the download limit every month (dont even know how that works to be honest)

any help on howto find out all that kind of things but more importantly the quantity in gb of download ive downloaded this month?

This is to clarify a previous question. I cannot log onto a pc using any of the 3 users passwords; the log on starts and then returns to the log on screen. We may have to reformat. I want to copy files in Documents and Settings for all users to keep them. I can't log in so I moved the hard drive and made it a slave on another XP Pro pc. I have moved the My Documents under Documents and Settings for all but one user. I receive an error message claiming I have no permission to do this or to open it. This was in Win Explorer I have tried in Safe Mode, logged in under Administrator in SAFE mode - and cannot see the contents in the Dos Propt screen. Is there a way to copy it so I can reformat??

It looks like we will have to reformat a hard drive that has 3 users. I want to copy the My Documents of all users elsewhere so it is not lost.

I can move all the users except one. I receive an error message that states access denied. I cannot log into the pc (when I try it returns me to the log in screen) hence the reformat reason.

Is there anything I can do to move this?

At the XP login screen the user name and password are entered properly. The Microsoft jingle starts and the monitor starts to show the desk top like normal. There is no statement indicating password error. There are 3 users on this pc; we see the same behavior with all users. Then it returns you to the log in screen as though you logged out.

This is XP with SP 2.

Any suggestions on how to get in?

I don't want to make it super fast, and the board only supports 800 ddr2, so i want to know if the best way to overclock without messing up the FSB is just to change the multiplier a little. I figure ill just up the multiplier by 2 or 3, do you think this is enough or should i do more, is this an issue? Please, let me know if this is a bad idea or a good idea or if you have a better idea?

I'm trying to get the address bar up so i can type in a directory. I can only get to this specific folder by typing it in but for some reason no address bar in windows explorer shows up. Heres a picture to show what it looks like.

I'm pretty sure its the video card that needs to be replaced.
I looked at the gateway site but it doesn't say if the video card is on board or if I can just get another one to replace it
I don't mean a aftermarket graphics card that you put in the available pci slot.
I am talking about the whether the computers standard video card is replaceable.
It was working fine for awhile.
For some reason it starts up and everything, it just doesn't display on the monitor.
I hooked up an older monitor I have and still nothing came on the screen.
That is why I'm sure its the video card that needs to be replaced.
