Your video driver probably went bad. Either download a newer version, or try rolling back to a previous one. To download a newer, find out what graphics card you are using by right clicking My Computer, and going to properties. Then, click on the hardware tab and click on Device Manager. Find the yellow question mark and right click properties on it as well. That will tell you. Also, from there you can roll back to a previous one by clicking the button. hop that helps. later

Here is something else to check. Right click My Computer and choose Properties. In the System Properties window, click the Hardware tab. Under Device Manager click "Device Manager. Now double click Display Adapter and the choose the Driver tab. If anyone besides the manufacturer of your video card is supply the driver, then you need to reload the driver for the card.

Go to the Start menu. Accessories, System Tools, System Restore and choose a restore point when things were working. You will lose any unsaved data. That should solve your problem. Make sure to run you anti-virus program regularly and - if you have Yahoo - their free anti-spy ware
