That's a scam.

If someone with a Yahoo Email Address is in charge of some lottery and is contacting you through their yahoo email address.....they are stupid.

It's a scam.

If only I had a farthing for every time I got an email telling me I won the UK lottery. I never open them since I live in the USA and don't think I'm eligable to play the UK lottery. But apperantly I still win about twice a week. It's just Spam.

No, that is most likely a scam. When you meet their "requirements" they will want you to send them some cash to "insure" the winnings and then you will never hear from them again. They are also asking for a helluva lot of personal information. I'm suprised they didn't ask for your SS number I'd stay away from this if I were you.

This is a very common phishing scam. DO NOT answer to this email. They convince you to provide them with your banking information. They may also ask you for a small deposit to cover some taxes or fees.

The first question you should ask yourself, is did ever participate in such a contest ?

This is an email designed to extract money from you. It is fraudulent and is commonly known as Spoofing or Phishing. Never trust any email that is sent to you of this nature.

Trash winning emails. Don't open. Scams. They don't know you. They found yer email somehow. Something for nothing? What're the odds? Think Ed McMahon's knockin' at my door? (What's that sound at my door?)
