when i turn my computer on the windows xp boot screen appears and then after that the screen goes blank. what do i do? i havn't installed new drivers or programs what could be wrong??

if so, how? Can you play it on windows media player? mine won't.

Ok I used to have Limewire, but then we got or comp. fixed and wipped. My sister's bf said it causes viruses so how else can I get music? I'm not paying! You can't make me! I really didin't want to dowload any program for fear of ruining the comp. again. Any suggestions?

ok i use this site allofmp3.com its a great site cheap you can buy whole cd or just a song but i am having troubles playing the files they are im mp3 format but i cant get them to play on pc i have win XP and have tryed both my media and real player i even went to music file tryed to play from there can not seem to play please help thank you

when i print out an email message, the top portion of the email prints on the first page, e.g., the date, from, subject, to. However, nothing else is printed on the first page. The actual message prints on the second page. I want the actual message to print out on the first page, after the To line. How would I do this?

My school has MicrosoftWord and I like it a lot so I want to download it to my computer. Only I don't know how. I seriously need an update, I have WordPad for cryin' out loud and it sucks. I got my computer from someone who entered a fake product code. I want to reinstall Windows XP with the CD I bought. However, when I run the software, it tells me that the version of Windows on the computer is a newer version than what is on the CD. So, can I boot the computer from the CD? Would that definately work? Thanks in advance.

I'm configuring Outlook for the first time. What I'm trying to do is configure Outlook so that it uses my ISP for outgoing and my school's server for incoming. I understand how to input the incoming and SMTP servers, but I don't know which option to pick for incoming - POP3 or IMAP?

I have a brother who is deaf, and most definitely NOT a computer user, but he does have a TTD.

New computer 2 months old, XP.
Wouldn't start; never got past the first screen.
No 'beep'. Control + alt + delete, escape, F8, all did nothing.
Removed side panel and checked for loose connections. None found,
Removed peripherals and power cord and restarted, same result. Tried restart with program disc in CD drive, same result.
While sliding box back under desk, inadvertently hit power button and the machine booted up.
I'm concerned that his is indicative of a problem and will happen again.
Any clues???

I currently have AT&T Yahoo! Broadband connection but I want to switch service because they suspended my connection without notice and I want to try something new. I live in Southern California so I was thinking about getting Time Warner Roadrunner Basic interntet cable (the cheapest one). My question is will I get better speeds with Roadrunner?

need 12 Amps @110-120 v. Others say 700watts will only require a pull of~5.9 amps.
I ntended to plug the new unit into my currene outlet, which is rated @ 15amps.
Depending on the real amp use, i'll be able to use the current outlet, or else I'll need to install a dedicated line.
If the latter, what amp line do I need?Much thanks

my computer's sound device for recording and playback was a device called REALTEK AV RACK.
I never could find a help function to learn how to use it properly, so I went to instal/uninstal programs to see if I could instal the help files. The stupid thing ended up uninstalling itself completly, so now I have NO sound device at all. I lost the CD. Anyone know a website where I can download a sound device for free for recording and playback? Thanks!!!
