Hi, i have a dell dimension 3100 with dvd/cd/rw the problem is i have some how lost the dvd decoder and cannot play dvds, tried lots of things to no avail!!! can anyone help me, need to do some serious exercise, going skiing, want to play my exercise dvd and cant!! (thanks to all who answered my IE7 question, its now back to 6 version, much better, dont download yahoo version its bad!!!)

I have uninstalled programes like Nod32 but they still on the start up list (nod32kui) msconfig ,,,,and there are processes like windows antivirus 2005 pro <
i was thinking i better find a ''process manager program'' but had to pay ,,,
is there any program helps to manage these processes (with online database of the process files types and needs, dangers) that is free and popular

if not wts the best website that help working manualy on them step-by-step for begginers
i ve tried some websites but it only helps with identifying the type of process and doesnt say much about canceling it or deleting it

Im trying to save a movie maker project to my hardisk & cd as well however, it only saves 50% of the image files but the background music is complete. A very kind fellow by the name of kdsingh73 answered my question & I believe his right bout his idea that im trying to save a very complex project in which my virtual memory could not handle so I just would like to find out what is the recommended virtual memory change for my 256 RAM. Is that the minimum & maximum adjustment for the Page File? Thank you and more power...

For example when I try to access other peoples answers. The little squares on the upper left hand side seem to go on for ages.
Never had this problem until last week. Occasionaly slow but nothing like it is now.

Has this happened to you? And if so has it corrected it's self or was it something to do with your own computer that you had to fix?

I would be interested to hear from you please. Thank you.

I have some movie files on an external harddrive and they worked on my own computer but when I try to play them on my friend's computer I can hear the sound but there's no picture. I think it's because I'm missing a codec.

OMG. My computer will not load up. It's a recurring loop where it tries to load, but tells me that it wasn't turned off properly or something like that. I have tons of files on it that I'd love to save to a CD or even e-mail to myself. Is there any way to extract all that stuff?

Do you know of a way to stop yahoo messenger window shaking when someone send a buzz...I know how to turn off sounds....
I hate also when instant message window shakes and "DING- DONG" appears....is there anyway to stop this behavior??, is very annoying
