OMG. My computer will not load up. It's a recurring loop where it tries to load, but tells me that it wasn't turned off properly or something like that. I have tons of files on it that I'd love to save to a CD or even e-mail to myself. Is there any way to extract all that stuff?

Try a weird startup key thing- hit F8 as the OS is loading- it will bring you to SafeMode- that shuts down a lot of functions that are not really vital, and you can usually boot up. First things first, run virus- then run anti-spyware. Then try start\ run type chkdsk it is a hard disk utility.and should help. If you can find nothing wrong, Windows sometimes can right itself once you get it to boot up. Also look for error logs. Unless you set it up ahead of time, you will not have internet in SafeMode, so take screenshots of any errors you do not understand (hit printscreen, then open paint and hit Ctrl + V to paste the image in paint. save it to lookk up on the net later. After that, restart normally.

Some ideas...
Try loading in 'Safe Mode' keep tapping F8 key while your computer is turning on. Then see if there is some way you can correct the matter.
But it sounds like something that happened to when my computer was looping just as you say. I had to send it for repairs as it was a hardware problem. And dont fret, most any qualified tech person can get the info from your harddrive.

Do because it says. Get your abode windows cd, stick it in, restart your pc, and use the practise guide on the cd to fix your filesystem. What has befell is, an important abode windows document has been corrupted. If the restoration jobbie doesnt restoration it, then yeah you'll likely want to wipe the pressure and commence anew. even although, there are some belongings you are able to do to get well notwithstanding archives you are able to wanna save.

Your stuff won't be lost. A professional will be able to extract your stuff, tell you whats wrong and proabably be able to mend it... Don't try any weird startup key things, they can make it worse... good luck!

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
