What your computer is actually affected is a trojan. This Trojan arrives on a system as a downloaded file from the Internet by an unsuspecting user when visiting a certain malicious Web page, redirecting the said user to another Web site. It can also arrive as a dropped file of another malware.

It disables the Windows Task Manager and Registry Editor to prevent its easy detection and consequent removal from the affected system. It also modifies the home page of an affected system's Internet browser so that it points to the possibly malicious Web page http://www.{BLOCKED}cities.co.jp/thanatos18388 instead.

Run Anti-Virus with updated definitions, or check out the following site for solution:

Uninstall messenger. You have a browser hijacker that has infected your PC. Use these scans to clean your PC, then reinstall messenger.

All of these are ones that I personally use and all are free.

I-Worm/Stration · BackDoor.Generic3.GBB and .GBC · Worm/Generic.FX · Exploit.WMF

Spybot - Search & Destroy detects and removes spyware, a relatively new kind of threat not yet covered by common anti-virus applications. Spyware silently tracks your surfing behaviour to create a marketing profile for you that is transmitted without your knowledge to the compilers and sold to advertising companies. If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you haven't intentionally installed, if your browser crashes inexplicably, or if your home page has been "hijacked" (or changed without your knowledge), your computer is most probably infected with spyware. Even if you don't see the symptoms, your computer may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging. Spybot-S&D is free, so there's no harm giving it a try to see if something has invaded your computer.

In my opinion you will need an expert to assist you in removing that malware. Create a HJT (HighJackThis) log and post it for review. It is free and the most effective way to eliminate malware. I use the following site. They are free and have a good reputation.
Just follow the instruction provided in the link and I am sure you and your computer will be fine

I found this site in Trend Micro that talks about this Trojan Virus. They have also instructions on how to eliminate this in your computer. I did not try it yet but i will because my girlfriend's pc was also infected by this. Its a bit complicated if your not so much familiar with computers because it involves editing registry. I hope this helps. good luck! = )
