Copy all your data onto an external hard drive
Then reformat the hard drive and do a clean install of Xp.
Install your anti virus software ensure you update the virus definitions, then get all the windows updates.
Register your version of windows with Microsoft.

When all updates are in place install your applications.

OMG! Why on Earth did you do that?

Sad to say, you'll need to reinstall it now.

Please use the option "Keep old files structure" when you do this now.

Do not click "Upgrade".

You'll lose your SP2 and will have to open Automatic Updates all over again and wait for all the updates to get installed.

Sorry, but that's all you can do now.

All the best.
