I am moving to New York (from London) next month, and I am not sure whether to take my laptop with me or not. I am worried that since it is not the same voltage over there, my laptop may not like it.... It is quite old and fragile ;) could I get the advice of specialists?

i bought this last night and iv got to the 6th(i think)op,the one with glass in the heart.iv read some walk thru's and they say after removing the big bit of glass to stitch the wound and it all go's slow mo and a big cut appears.but it wont let me suture the wound from the big bit of glass.iv tried keeping his vitals up with the jabs etc.where am i going wrong?i must have tried this one about 10 times now and i always lose him at this point!ta.x

Here is my problem.. I need my resume to rock.. and i cant seem to find the words..
I've worked with computer, in systems, fixing self scanning robots, and those dodgey weight machines. general maintence and trouble shooting. I have downloaded data and verfication.I have studied Html/XHTML. illustrator, pagemaker.. few software programs programs.. work with both pc and macs.. but i cant seem to make myself sound any good.. help.. ? ive been working with computers for about 8 years on and off.

I like messing around on my computer.I clikck on things that dont need clicking,and some that should never be clicked.Most of the time I get lucky and Im able to fix my messes but this time I did a great job make'n one that I could use some help with.When I try to go to system restore a windows xp home editinon set up, I get an error message tha says my rstrui.exe is unable to locate componet.exe. Applaication failed because framedyn.dll is missing or corrupet and that reinstalling may fix the problem. My problem is that Im not sure how to do this. Can anyone help? Thankyou.

I am looking to buya computer. I am interested in video/phot/audio editing. I also want to be able to browse the internet quickly. I guess I would need alot of memory for the videos and such. I would also need decent monitor to display the videos. I currently ahve access to high speed internet that I can network too ( my mom and stepdad are networked on a dsl connectiona and they said i can add my computer to it) . I have seen computers for about 300 dolalrs used. my step dad has computer knowledge sohe can hepl me build one form scratch. I'm not really worried about looks or size just capability. I also want good sound. I am looking to not spend over 500 dollars. what kinda of computer shoudl i look @ and what coponets will ineed for the video and audio editing?

MS Word 2003 behaves perfectly normally UNTIL you have to go back and make a correction. Having deleted a single letter, typing in the correct letter to replace it DELETES the next letter in that word and the whole sentence if I carry on typing. Similarly if I want to put a space between two words using the space bar, instead of inserting a space it acts a forward delete key. HELP PLEASE.

I have a mouse that operates using a laser light ( alittel red light) and i need to find the best way to clean it. I have used q tips and blowing in it and cleaning the (mouse pad) with windex it works for liek 5 miuntues then starts acting up again. I know its nto the batteries cus they are electonic batteries nad brand new....any suggestion?

Ok I have a Optimus Digital Camera when I aim the camera at a object it is almost pitch black.but when I put it on the computer it is so clear..what is going on here.also I would like to know what setting would I put my camera in to make it brighter.would this be the settings Auto-Daylight,Lamp,Fluorescent 1,Flurorescent 2,Shade.which one would I put to make the camera more better where I can see the object.because as of now the picture is just about black.I even put the Iso sensitivity on 100 the lowest.when I aim the camera at my mom face it was pitch black.you could see her face but you could not see her eyes,nose,nothing just a black spot on her face,blocking her face out with blackness,also the rest of the pictures was so very dark.if anybody can help me please do.I have not been able to take pictures yet.but I took the camera to get checked out and it worked fine for the guy.but when I took it home the camera did not do the same for me.

My computer is a 1998 Hewlett Packard Pavilion M50. It is running slow. (I know it is older but i can't afford a new Pc right now).. I have defraged, disk cleanup and removed programs,etc. that i do not need or use.

When i was defraging it said that the file system is NTFS (whatever that is) and the capacity is 4.02Gb... Is that normal?
It is a windows XP.
I have the highest speed of cable internet but still it runs slow. Can you help me in fixing my ordeal that i am going through?

Can i update/upgrade through the internet for free? Also if i do need more Ram. How much is that cause someone told me they would do that for me for $70.00 (a computer store)

I've noticed that there are small patterns between area codes of big cities. For example, there are a lot of major cities that have x12 or x15 as the 3 numbers in the area code, with the x obviously being the 1st number. I think this would be easy to figure out, but would require some work, so I just thought I'd ask. Thanks!
