I have a mouse that operates using a laser light ( alittel red light) and i need to find the best way to clean it. I have used q tips and blowing in it and cleaning the (mouse pad) with windex it works for liek 5 miuntues then starts acting up again. I know its nto the batteries cus they are electonic batteries nad brand new....any suggestion?

Generally these kind of mice don't require cleaning. Is your mouse pad a textile one, because these are the best for optical mice (like yours). Glossy pads make the cursor go wild. If you do have a textile pad and still encounter problems it means that cleaning might not be the solution.

Why do you feel the need to clean an optical mouse? It does not accumulate dirt the way older ball mice used to. And yes, you need to use an optical mouse on a non glossy, non multicolored surface. Otherwise it moves irratically.
Try keeping the mouse on a plain, cotton cloth. On a cotton napkin or a towel.

I also have a Logitech Laser, it's very sensative to hairline dust, vacuum the area.

I'm not sure how to clean it but whatever you do don't use windex inside of it.

use a cloth to wipe the mouse "feet"

anyway use a compressed air can
