Can someone explain the concept and why people are all excited about it.

you can goto the site and see why people like it. if u hv high speed internet, then all the better. its an online store for famous, not so famous, nasty, good, sporty videos nicely archived and filed as per the user tastes and categories.

It's a community site to share video's (oh and to put illegal content on too).
I would imagine google etc want it so badly because it generates a huge number of hits with a view to creating advertising revenue.

I only came across this website recently (as it was in news yesterday).
I'd love to know MORE IN DETAILS as how exactly could we use different functions within the website itself.

it is a website were people can share their creations or funny videos they find the web.... some people get addicted to it
