Look around my website and there is a link somewhere to Google videos. Watch the Human computation lecture - that may help. I would also think about the requirements of hospitals for the type of system you are doing a project on as they need data like scans for research often from around the world. the same of course applies to universities. I doubt if this has anything to do with your project - but I saw a guy is putting a "tower" on the Internet in 2007 with advertising on it. 10,000 units of advertising at $100 per unit per year - a $1,000,000 a year! I don't think it will work. But the idea of a virtual monument or attraction - like a virtual Empire State building has it's attractions. I have a virtual 3D art gallery on my computers and that is cool. This probably isn't helping! lol

How about an application that automatically scans news feeds for particular keywords and automatically downloads the pages into a database?

Or a system that scans the internet for online books, identifies them by Dewie system and presents them as a virtual library?

You could do a recipe scanner that will search all online recipe databases for recipes that correspond to particular requirements and generates an order for your local delivering supermarket.

Oh man... You're on your own on this one. I would be interested in hearing what you finally settle on though.
