I bought a new o/s and plugged my 5.1s into them.. I bought cheap pc speakers and could get no sound out of thm so i spent a little more on better ones..I still cant get no sound...I have tried all the usual remidies but no joy....Does any1 know if it may be a problem with the jumper settings or connections on my motherboard, ASrock K8upgrade..Any and all advice much appreciated....

All of a sudden when i try to connect to Net Zero i get an error message saying Invalid id & Password? (691) I uninstalled and then reinstalled but still get the same message. But when i use my pc at work and enter my netzero id and password i connect to my homepage. So, doesnt this mean it has to be something wrong with my pc not the software or my ID & password cause it works when i use the pc in work. I also had electrical work done in the house--Could this be the reason???? What can i do?It worked the other night then when i shut my pc off and woke up tdy i got that error message again (691).

Anyone whats wrong with this? everytime I try to come online, its slow and it takes it's sweet time geting online and somtimes I have to restart over and over again to to come online because EI wont come up and it's doing this to firefox too. Then the sites I come on freeezes,but then later on everything comes up. why it is doing this? anything wrong with it or anything I need to do? Thanks. :)

I tried to download windows 98 the other day after erasing everything because I was having problems. The computer came up fine, and I left it on for a few hours, went to open a program and my computer crashed. I tried to restart my computer and nothing happens, it just beeps about ten times, and the monitor stays on stand by.
What did I do? How do I fix it?

after executing this .exe/app file the program/software gets installed. Now my question - can we delete all other files after this installation. the other question is after installation if i copy this software/program from one folder to other or to other drive and want to delete from the first folder, it says that it is a program and deleting can cause problem. is it a routing warning and i should not take notice of it as i already have copied it to some other place thus not totally deleted from pc.
pl answer step by step. kindly also let me know how can i find in which dir i have installed the software and in which i have saved the installer if i don't remember now

I have a compacq computer with windows 98. I was wanting to know if anyone had any ideas on speeding it up? I tryed to defrag it, but I had it on defrag for 2 days and still wasn't at 1%. Any other suggestions?
