it takes more than just clearing history
which is what most people think is the solution
do the following and you will have no worries
open your browser
click tools up top
click internet options
click clear history
change the days to keep history to 0
click delete files
click settings change the amount of disk space to use to 1mb
click ok
now click the content tab
click auto complete
click clear forms
then where it says use autocomplete for uncheck all the things you dont want your browser to store.
that way you wont have to keep going back and clearing things out. good luck

Click the Help button
Go to the Index
Type Auto in the text box at the top
You will get everything you need to know about Autocomplete there, including...

To adjust AutoComplete settings

You can configure AutoComplete to save and suggest only the information you want. You can choose whether to use AutoComplete for Web addresses, forms, and passwords, or not use it all. You can also clear the history for any of these.

In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Content tab.
Under Personal information, click AutoComplete.
Select the check boxes for the AutoComplete options you want to use.

Deleting the History will get rid of Autocomplete in the Address bar but will not help you with forms.

if you're using internet explorer, follow this:

1) go up to Tools (5th option)
2) click Internet Options... (last option)
3) under General tab, in Temporary Internet Files (middle box), click the first two buttons, Delete Cookies, and Delete Files
4) under General tab, in History (bottom box), click the Clear History Button
5) close internet explorer and reopen

should be fixed!
