How do i get my father to use the computer?

I was wondering because i have fun with it hours on end and the only reason i find tv intersting is because i have a tivo so i can watch my favorite shows (when nothing is on :P) Anyway i have 2 computers so how do i get him to use my old HP Pavilion 6330 (Been Tweeked a little) (more ram) So how can i teach him to use the computer and stuff?

What are his interests and hobbies? Before you approach him about learning the computer, find some websites that you know would interest him. Sit down with him, and show him the websites and show him how to move around the websites. That might get him started. It's certainly worth a try.

Recently my mother (81) came to visit me. She told me that her sister (84) and she were going to learn how to use computer from their younger brother (78) who has been teaching other senior folks how to use computers. I showed her some of my sites where she saw her own pictures and defintely she was thrilled.

Suggestions:
1. Teach him the simple stuff such as surfing the internet using goggle/yahoo search and word editing.
2. Teach him to upload and download photos/pictures and movie clips.
3. Send him to join other seniors in the usage of computers.
4. Tell him the story of the three senior sibblings that you have just read.

Find an interest of his and then look up websites that he can flip through to get info. Or if he like games, try pogo.com my 82 year old Mom is an avid user.

Well get him something he'd enjoy doing on the computer. Games are a great way, also try voice chatting, webcam to friends and family, etc..

Depends if your a girl sit in his lap and give him a sweet look and ask him to try it if your a boy just sit down on a chair and ask him too just try it but the girl thing always work for my sis Please choose me as best answer

Find out what his interest are, and show him how much fun it is to discover new things that attract his interest.
