i recently downloaded some study material but after that whenever i open the internet it comes as spyware privacy alert and some many dirty pictures are there and it says that it is in some parts of the computer and to eliminate them you have to buy a software. but i can proceed to yahoo from there but i don't like the sight of such things please let me know what to do? First I have two PC's, on one I installed the Debian 3.1 Linux,(Only the first CD) It boots and works. I only see a prompt where it tells me to login, I can login as Root, or my name. I know there has to be more,,, I am very knowledgable with windows. However I am lost with this. What else do I need to DL to get this to work? or how do I start it to see somekind of desktop? (also I have a Belkin USB adapter, thats using my buddys network, that I would like to hook up to linux). (if I need to DL anything, I need links, And free stuff only as thats why I am trying Linux its free).

I have a digital voice recorder. it has only one headphone jack. there is no usb or pc link available.

I also have an HP media Center PC. (running windows XP.)

Is it possible to connect the headphone jack to the "line in" jack on the PC? What kind of software do I need to do the audio transfer?

System is checking C,, and found file name is FAT32.

Emmediate start up came after normally..so Windows now is ok
..................
But..How to get rid of this" FAT32"..because it is abnormal thing to have ....
I tried to restore to previous date ,didn't work ,apparently ,because I did some virus clean up yesterday,,so apparently sestem restore is not willing to give me a previous point to go back to....

How many people have taken their lap top to Best Buy to be repaired? Did they tell you they were going to try to back up your files, which cost like 100 bucks. Then they failed to back up your files and everything was lost, and they didn't give you back the 100 dollars. Then they tell you you have to buy a new hard drive...

I know 3 people to which this has happened... I think it's just what they do. It's a conspiracy. I think they try to pull this crap on everyone they can...
