Ok so I brought my personal home computer up to work to use until the work computer gets fixed (virus). I wanted to know if there is anyway I can ensure that my personal info isn't shared by anyone that gets on (like have an administrator login and then a different login for anyone who doesn't know the pasword)? I know you can because one of our computers is like that (if you don't know the password you can't log in certain ones). Thanks!!

I know Linux is slightly less user friendly but once you get the hang of it its so much more reliable than Windows!

when i boot my pc with a USB mouse attach to it. it displays a msg. that it did not found any PS2 port mouse attach the same and reboot.it didnot detect the USB mouse.,

I'll explain what I'm trying to accomplish. In a nutshell, I'm trying to record video from one computer, from the other. My setup that I have is Computer A (which is a laptop), and Computer B, which is a normal computer tower and a LCD monitor. Computer A, the laptop, is what I will be controlling and will be the one that is recorded FROM. Computer B's monitor needs to be able to show what is happening on itself, to setup the recording to start, then to switch to show the laptop's screen, recording from that. What do I need to do?

Whenever i scroll down on the internet, it takes ages to go down. It seems like the screen has layers. I have tried Defragmenter and disk cleanup but it is still the same.

When I place the card into the slot on the front of the computer (the 'G' drive), it's supposed to bring up the Camera & Scanner Wizard (I'm running XP Media Center Edition); however, it's not even registering the card's presence. Even when I go into Windows Explorer and try to open the 'G' drive from there, it tells me there's nothing in that drive. What's the problem, and how do I correct it?

All I know is that this is not an issue with the camera's driver software; XP Media Edition is set up to read SD cards.

My computer monitor and desk top have been in my car for the past 3 wks or so. Recently I plugged my computer pieces up and everything works fine except for the monitor? My screen has nothing but a green tint to it.

What could have caused this? I was told that magnets can afect ur screen but it wasn't near any magnets, also I was told that my car stereo could have done this.

At any rate, is there any way I can get my color back? Ive tried the deguass, it flicked different colors but my hue is still green. Ive also unplugged the plug that goes fromthe monitor to the desktop several times and this still hasnt fixed it.

Any ideas/suggestions?
