How do I change my "start" task bar back to horizontal, from it being verticle on the right side of screen?

Last week I downloaded Google Earth and suddenly my "start" task bar decided to go verticle (in the right side of my screen) on me. How do I get it horizontal on the bottom of my screen again?

Click and hold on the task bar and drag -n- drop it back to the bottom of your screen.

Sue B is absolutely correct.
The only thing I would add is to make sure your click in an unused/open area of the task bar and then drag it back to the bottom of your screen.

Right click on the tool bar and it should give you the option to move it horizontaly.
