i recently downloaded some study material but after that whenever i open the internet it comes as spyware privacy alert and some many dirty pictures are there and it says that it is in some parts of the computer and to eliminate them you have to buy a software. but i can proceed to yahoo from there but i don't like the sight of such things please let me know what to do? Thanks a lot in Advance

Try the free trial on windows live care. This will clear up your pc and keep you protected for 3 months. I am currently using it and my pc is in good shape

You can go into your browser preferences and click on the General icon then click on the button to choose a blank page.
That will prevent the objectionable material from appearing.

Like previous person mentioned you also need to use anti-spyware software. You can also try lavasoft.com, they have a free version available for download.

Most ISPs provide firewall/anti-virus and anti-spyware tools free.

I had this problem once before myself. I think it is just spyware taking over ur homepage just trying to get u to buy their software. i just went to yahoo and clicked set yahoo as homepage. u should also get something to remove spyware.

Try to download and install spybot from the following web-site www.spybot.com. This will help you to delete the unwanted stuff installed in your computer.
