The startup bar at the bottom of my screen is gone! No it's not just way at the bottom, and yes the menu pops up when I press the window button on my keyboard. I want the bar at the bottom back. HELP PLEASE

My computer has been hanging recently, so I decided to run a Spybot Search and Destroy scan on it. When I do, the file that it's scanning is displayed in the bottom left hand corner of the program. I can see that it's spyware (Files titled everything from "Tango" to "Keylogger" to "TeenXXX"), but Spybot doesn't recognize them as problems, and I can't find them on my drive to delete them (the paths to the files are not displayed by Spybot, and, even if they were, I suspect that such files are cleverly hidden by their creators to make accessing them difficult).

So, basically, I can see that the files have no place on my computer, but Spybot glosses right over them. Any idea how I can find and remove them?

I get the background and the taskbar just fine but the icons take a littel longer. I used to have an anti-virus but it made my computer super slow so I uninstalled it and then I was left with this minor problem.

This version won't run for crap. Right click on it, it disappears. It hogs resources like you wouldn't believe and it's just a peice of crap. Anybody know about this nonsense?

Ok I know how to delete files but there are some files that I cant delete. It says it is because It is being used by another program or person. I restart the computer and still I cant delete them. Can anyone help. Thanks in advance

I know everyone thinks IE sucks, but I don't have any better luck with firefox. So, that out of the way, A couple of weeks ago, my pc was hijacked, and though I was able to remove most of the problems, couldn't remove 2. (They were well hid!) I ended up having to reformat my computer. The problem is, when i got my pc reformatted, there was little to no support for IE Windows 98SE any more. I am having trouble with flash players. I have found some at Oldversion.com. The problem I have now is that I can get one, but they go to .zip files, and I have no clue what to do, what to open it with, or how to go about it. I download it, but nothing happens. It couldn't find "my browsers plugins" so I had to find that myself, but what do I do? how do I get things to work right? Flash players 8 & 9 require Pentium 2 & 3, 450k, I have Pentium (?)250k. Can anyone with real knowledge please help me and give detailed instructions what to do? Please?? Thank you.

I am running Windows XP - Pro and I use Norton Internet Security. I have a cable modem. If my computer is off and I start it up, it boots up and Windows starts up, but it does not establish a connection to the internet. (It used to do this fine -- the problem has just appeared recently.) However, if I click on "Start - Shut down - Restart", the computer shuts down and then immediately restarts by itself, and this time when it boots up, it connects to the internet o.k. How can I get it to establish the internet connection on the initial start-up?
