My friend told me if I went to Start - Run - then typed in "Prefetch" and delete all of the files that come up my computer will run faster, does anybody know if that's true? I'm not too bright with computers so thank all for your help. (:

Is it the Radeon x850 Pro (AGP), or the Radeon x1650 Pro (AGP).
I looked on the website, but can't make heads or tales what the heck anything means.

without a recordable cd drive. the floppy disks i have can't save 16mb of work on one disk. i really cant split the info...and i dont like www.gotomypc.co.uk because they have access to all one's pc info!! scary... what other option do i have pls? whenever I start it, a message pops up saying the local profile may have been damaged and then loads a temporary profile instead which means I can't permanently download anything on it.
In the last few days, I downloade a lot of compressed albums and this may have taken up memory, however the computer never said so.

I am just wondering because ive lost a few hours of things because I cant save them, though their not important, but, Ive lost about 7 hours of stuff. Its annoying because I want to finish something in the morning, and then I wake up and everything is shut off because my computer restarted. Why? Its starting to get annoying. And its not like I dont restart it myself, but, if I dont for a couple days, it opts to do it itself. How do I stop this? Or is it because it just gets too hot, or gets too lagged down with information it just stops?

and everyone told me its jus spyware so i got an anit-spyware/adware....
but i know somethings still not right with my computer the pop ups have stopped. but it still runs mad slow. i can get to the task manager now but everytime i open it something called program1 is always running (i never opened that)
in addition to the advise i got yesterday i downloaded an anti- virus it told me i had almost a thousand viruses and i healed them (at least thas wat the program said)
most of them were some trojan junk

i guess my question is do i have a virus even if the program said i healed them or is it just really bad spyware?
