I have 15 gigabytes that are unused in one partition that I would like to use to make a new one. If it is possible, what freeware would you recommend?

I have tried Partition logic and it will not load... I really don't want to drop $70 for a program I am only going to use once, so I'll keep looking.

Partition Magic works great. But if you don't want to spend any money at all, Windows has the ability to create partitions. Depending on your OS, this can be accomplished by going into DOS and running C:\fdisk, or C:\diskpart if you're running XP. In XP you can also open 'Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management' and select 'Disk Management' from the console tree. Right click the free space and select 'New logical drive'. Follow the instructions of the 'New Partition Wizard'.

There's a few freeware tools for drive partitioning like you want to do, I've never used any of them myself but Partition Logic was the one mentioned most in a Google search I did.

If you have windows xp then when you go to control panel then to user accounts, Then 'create an account. The instructions will tell you what to do. That way you have one account for you and one for who ever, or new account.
