All of a sudden, for the first time, the history icon disappeared from the tool bar area on my computer. I can't find how to make it come back. What do I do? Any help appeciated..

Go to the VIEW menu and pick Toolbars. Click, so you add a checkmark next to STANDARD BUTTONS. Then go back to CUSTOMIZE, and make sure that HISTORY is shown with the list of Current Toolbar Buttons. If not, click on the HISTORY button under AVAILABLE Toolbar Buttons and click on ADD.

Rght click on an empty side of IE bar then choose customize, select in the left side "history" then click "add".
Simple!
