yeah, in the same way that youcan use a floppy disk or (more recent) a pen drive. An MP3 player allows you to store all types of data files on it , not just music. Your only limited to how much you can carry on it by the size of the memory in the mp3 player and the size of the file/s your saving to it. They are a good quick way to transfer files from one computer to another.

You can ue it just like a flash drive.
No problem. Cheaper to buy a flash drive than an MP3 if you want to just store files.

yes you can hun great for file transfer and at the moment in woolworths there is a great little mp3 player with this on for only £9.99 reduced from £29.99 i got my son one

yes they can, but if you've not got one yet, then do a bit of homework as some are better than others for this type of use.
