I was sent a picture in an odd format, and I can't save it to my yahoo photos site. What gives? I can see the picture, but only in explorer. Please, be specific with the details and steps, as I am not that computer savvy.

i'm running xp home (unfortunately) and i actually have this problem on my laptop and my parents computer. i am not able to open up folders, ie my computer, control panel, etc. i'm also not able to open up IE or AIM or shut down via the start menu, i've got to hold the button down for a bit before it shuts down. i've defragged both computers a few days ago and just recently installed a registry cleaner. any thoughts? thanks

trying to install SP2. Installation starts, appears to run OK, then a window popped up that said Service Pack 2 Installation Access is Denied. It then takes you through the Uninstallation Wizard which I did. Finally, Service Pack 2 Setup Error Service Pack 2 installation did not complete. Windows XP has been partially updated and may not work properly so i restart and it works fine but it did not install like i tryed it agian and aagin and it still says access is denied

When I analyze H_P Recovery it says I do not need to defragment this volume, yet it has only 6% of free space, I just baught the laptap a month ago. What can I do to free up some space, I did not realize how little space I had, How did I do this?

Everytime i put my computer on standby it goes to standby fine, but when i resume the standby mode it reboots. I also have a good videocard Nvidia Geforce 6800, and not alot of wattage on the power supply, so im thinking my computer doesnt have enough strength to power it back on. So can someone please help?

I have a "notifier" that pops up every hour and I have to go through the task manager to stop it. It a reminder that tells me my three day trail has expired and it keeps tring to make me pay. I don't even know what the its for its like a movie website that I never went too. I found it in the add/remove programs, but to remove it, it redirects me to a webpage that "cannot be opened". So since that won't work is their anything I can do to get it off my computer?

Does anyone know why my background looks different on Explorer than it does on Firefox or Netscape? The background color won't come up on Explorer and the cursor ONLY shows up on Explorer. Is there anything I can do?

I am going to be taking a college course for Excel 2003. On my computer at home I have Windows XP which has Excel (it possibly is Excel 2002 ?). What is the difference between Excel 2003 and the Excel version I have? Also, do you think I could do the course work at home with my version of Excel or do I need to purchase and install Excel 2003???

i had it since aug of last yr. i use it a lot. long long hrs.
but not that much any more. the fan that is supposed to be sucking in air doesn't suck in the air anymore. and when i use my laptop it gets really hot really fast! what's happening to it?
it's a compact. it is a version 2002.
i only use it for school work and to listen to music and charge my ipod. what can i do to fix this problem?
