Doesn't go on doesnt turn off,I checked the wires.its not that,i dont know is some program its not turning off properly what could be another reason?

The user manual says that "Seagate does not recommend using portable external hard drive for transferring data between Windows and Mac" Is this really true???? Will my dad's PC be able to read the data? I just shipped it 2000 miles across the country ... When he plus it into his MAC, will all the data be lost?

I cant put any wallpapers on my desktop, i cant even right click on my it, it doesnt do anything. if i put a wallpaper on there i can only see it when i turn my computer on or off, then it turns red and the stupid spyware background comes up. is there a way i can fix this myself?

When I submitted a report, Microsoft denied it was their problem & suggested it was created by Yahoo! Inc. They said you (Yahoo) informed Microsoft that you have a solution for the problem.
