How come I keep receiving emails from senders to which I have blocked?

I use yahoo mail and I have certain email addresses blocked so that I will not receive any mail from them and they are supposed to be automatically deleted and they are still coming through. What can I do about this

1) Please recheck your filter setting, the sender email may not be correct.

2) Sender may use different email account and send to you. But on the sender field, it states the same name. Please check on the detail header and analysis there.

Are they coming directly from them? B/c if they are sending them from here, it's coming from Y answers...
